Update re Premier Cricket merger decision
June 09, 2016
As a result, both clubs have been advised that they will compete in the West End Premier Cricket 1st Grade competition for the 2016/17 season.
The SACA Board had previously communicated to the two clubs that its preferred position is for the two clubs to merge.
It became apparent to the Board that the process was taking longer than anticipated, largely due to the highly complex and emotional nature of the situation,” said SACA Chief Executive, Keith Bradshaw.
We believe it is only fair that both clubs are given the time to work through this process."
SACA reconfirmed that additional funding will be provided towards infrastructure expenditure for facilities for a new entity, with additional funding towards on-costs such as legal fees, communications and marketing to facilitate a merger.
